Whilst the B & W is
predominantly a steam railway there are a number of diesel locos.
These include large passenger and freight train locomotives, BR shunting
locomotives a diesel multiple unit and small private factory and works shunting locos. One of locos 20166, 33110, 37142, 50042 or the DMU normally operates on Saturdays from April to October (except August) and on certain other special trains. The DMU normally operates the first train from Bodmin General to Bodmin Parkway and back Monday to Friday from June to September. For more information on Driver Experience Courses - click here

The class 08 and 10 shunters are used as station pilots and for permanent way work although very occasionally they take passenger trains. | |||
