SANTA BY STEAM

Start the magic of Christmas with a special Steam Train ride

  • 1 hour return journey through the Cornish countryside in winter.
  • Everyone will see Santa in his grotto on the train during the journey and the children get a bag of presents from him.
  • Seasonal drink and a mince pie for all adults at the station either before or after your journey.

Start Christmas with the magic of a traditional Christmas Lunch on our steam hauled Dining Train during a 1 hour train journey from Bodmin General. If you wish you can stay on the train after your meal and repeat the journey about an hour later.

All children will be invited to see Father Christmas in his Grotto on the train during the journey. Please state the children's ages when booking.

We do not recommend these trains for young children. (Under 5)

Dress code - entirely at your discretion but most passengers choose smart casual.

 CHRISTMAS MURDER MYSTERY SPECIAL

Solve a very special seasonal murder mystery whilst enjoying a steam train journey through the beautiful Cornish countryside. Watch and listen as the professionally staged murder plot unfolds before your very eyes. Question the cast for those extra clues. View the murder scene, choose your suspect. Win yourself a prize!

The Christmas Murder Mystery special departs from BODMIN GENERAL at 7pm. The journey lasts around 2½ hours. The fare is inclusive of the steam train journey and a Cornish Pasty supper served at your seat.

Carol Train

Come and join us on board the steam-hauled 2.55pm train from Bodmin General on Boxing Day for our annual traditional singing of Christmas Carols.

Traditional carols will be sung at the stations and on board whilst the train makes its leisurely journey to Bodmin Parkway and return.

Normal fares apply, which includes a free locally baked mince pie for all passengers. Advance booking not available—just turn up with your singing voice!
